Ms Sabrina Hervey, a Senior Education Specialist in Educate A Child's Technical Department, plays an instrumental role in EAC partnership development and project development and oversight, and the development of EAC systems and procedures. Ms. Hervey oversees a portfolio of projects, and is the EAC focal point to the GPE and to several ODA partners.
Ms. Hervey has over 20 years combined experience in both international development and education (formal and non-formal). She has experience in project monitoring and evaluation; administrative, operational and financial management; community development; public health issues; teaching, and Life Skills development. Prior to joining the EAC team, Ms. Hervey served as a monitoring, evaluation, and training specialist with FHI 360, where she provided technical assistance, guidance and capacity building support to education projects in developing M&E systems and tools. Prior to this Ms. Hervey was a Program Officer with the AED Global Learning Group; contributing to marketing and new business development efforts, and providing M&E technical support to the Group. Ms. Hervey has experience as a classroom teacher and working with youth. She served as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Cameroon where she was a health education and community development agent.
Ms. Hervey has significant experience working in Africa, including work in Cameroon, Mali, Malawi, Liberia, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Niger, DRC, Ethiopia, and Uganda among others. She holds an MPA in International Management with a concentration in Development Project Management from Monterey Institute of International Studies, and a BA in English studies from Texas Lutheran University. Ms. Hervey speaks English, French, and Fulfulde.
