Our Publications

Technical / Brochures & Information / Meetings & Reports

EAC’s primary goal is to contribute to the enrollment and retention of 10 million OOSC in a quality primary education program by 2015/16.

It has a modest publications program to support learning in relation to providing quality education programs to OOSC, provide information for advocating for OOSC, and to give evidence for mobilising additional funding for proven approaches. We share our publications in the spirit of contributing to the concern for and knowledge base about OOSC.

Sustaining Change

Technical

April 23, 2017
Sustainable development is typically defined as development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. This concept was originally intended to capture the essence of living on the planet in ways that protect resources for the future. Over time, it has broadened to include social, economic and environmental health and well-being for humans and habitat. One foundational contributor to a sustainable world is education, a key to improving people’s lives and ability to thrive. EAC acts as a catalyst for sustainable change through partner projects. EAC partners are experienced bilateral organisations, local and international NGOs, and UN agencies aiming at sustaining the process of economic and social development of marginalised children through the implementation of education projects. The goal of EAC’s partners is to create lasting changes and long-term impacts beyond the term of the project so the forgotten and invisible children who are denied an education continue to be recognised and supported.
