Key Criteria for Implementation Partners’ Selection
EAC is seeking Implementation Partners who meet the following criteria:
- Focus on out of school children (OOSC) at the primary level
- Ability to work in EAC priority countries and
- Willingness and demonstrable ability to provide at least 50% match funding
Organizations that also meet several of the following criteria will be considered:
- Demonstrated ability to reach OOSC on a large scale;
- Demonstrated success in advocating for education;
- Experienced in implementing primary educational activities in support of OOSC;
- Demonstrated understanding of national plans of action in support of OOSC, where they exist;
- Record of providing educational programs in fragile, conflict, conflict-affected and disaster situations;
- Capacity to mobilize additional resources in support of primary education; and
- Implement proven strategies for reaching OOSC with education and/or experiment with innovative methods for reaching and educating out of school primary age children, including but not limited to emerging technologies
Expressions of Interest evaluation criteria:
Potential projects should be rated as either high or medium in all criteria to be considered for support.
