The four day forum culminated with the Incheon Declaration to address the immediacy of attending to the unfinished agenda of out of school children. A critical next step is attention to the content of the Framework For Action that will outline the targets, indicators, mechanisms and financing for the education component of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which will be approved at the UN General Assembly in September 2015. In Seoul, Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser gave a keynote speech at the 6th Asian Leadership Conference, seeking to forge new alliances between the education and business communities. On the sidelines of the forum, an agreement was signed between the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Education Above All Foundation (EAA), click here for more information on how to support education programmes around the world.
Dr. Mary Joy Pigozzi, Director of Educate A Child, delivered a panel presentation on the barriers that out of school children face and how education systems can address them.
