Mr David Kamau Mumo is an Education Specialist in the technical team at Educate A Child (EAC) who has over 18 years of experience in education. David has held a variety of positions in education, including teaching, research, project coordination, field director, and education specialist. David holds expertise in implementing a range of programmes; basic education (formal and non-formal education), education in emergency, nomadic education as well as the assessments of numeracy and literacy skills (EGRA/EGMA), peace building education and advocacy, and participatory community development programming using rights-based approaches. Mr Mumo previously worked with UNICEF Kenya to support education programmes in refugee camps, and prior to this, he worked with Aga Khan Foundation to provide education for children of the marginalized rural and urban (slum) communities in East Africa. He also worked with Kenyatta University on a literacy norms project.
David holds a Masters degree in Education (Administration), Bachelors in Education (Science), Advanced Certificate in Educational Planning (IIEP/UNESCO), and a Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management. Mr Mumo speaks English and Kiswahili.
